Kennedy and the FDA jacked up and about to strike another blow for America’s freedom of choice!

Could shortcuts with peptides be a great timesaver for America’s busiest health czar?

Robert Kennedy on the campaign trail. Must have gotten ketchup on his shirt.

RFK, Jr. likes to take off his shirt. In public. On the campaign trail. It works. He won the vote of Alexander Cortes, an astute follower of the issues. Cortes posted on X: “Whoever is most JACKED AND TAN has my vote.”

It is unusual to find someone so high up in government so pumped up. Kennedy has a lot of stuff to deal with: cyclospora, cutting disease surveillance, measles outbreaks, killing vaccines, axing the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, freeing peptides for the good of the nation…How does he find time to go the gym? He must be getting his briefings in the tanning salon.

It’s possible that Kennedy has tried to cut his time in the gym by injecting peptides to build his muscles. Or maybe he has tried to skip time in the tanning salon by injecting peptides to make his skin look tan. (Yes, there is a peptide people use for that.) In any case, our Secretary of Health says he has used peptides and, against strong scientific consensus, wants to cut unapproved peptides loose without significant testing and let Americans have at them.

Peptides are amino acids, some of which we make in our bodies and some of which have been synthesized in the lab. I, along with Kennedy and millions of Americans, appreciate peptides, but I only like the very well-tested ones, well-proven to have big health benefits with limited side effects and very good safety. These FDA-approved peptides include, most prominently, insulin for diabetics and GLP-1s like Ozempic, Wegovy, and Zepbound, used to treat obesity and a growing list of other diseases.

To open up the peptide market, Kennedy rigged the process.
