I just listened to your podcast “Why we don’t have an ultra-processed food definition. And yes, Big Food has clearly put its financial foot down where it hurts the most. Personally I’m glad RFKjr put the issue on the table right there in full view for all Americans. But I do agree this may be as far as it gets given the clout Big Food still has. Here’s hoping some curious person will do the grunt work and file a Freedom of Information request. Given how damaging labeling would be to the Big Bottom Line, that may be the only way we will ever be able to see what the definition would have said.
